My Practice….
….is focused on the production of oil paintings. The foundation for this is built on a constant revisiting of some of the fundamental principles of painting and drawing, mixed with a desire to involve an emotional and expressive approach to mark making, taking inspiration from the Impressionist movement.
I am displaying my love for the natural world through the journey of plein air painting and creating on site representational works. With a broad personal interest in different subject matter; I also have a desire to imbue my art with meaning and purpose to illicit a reflective and contemplative response from the viewer. Sometimes depicting figurative and surrealist elements
I would like to express my belief that nature and other phenomena, such as geometry, are a pointer to the hidden unity behind all things that reality is an expression of.
Out of the ideal for trying to express a loving compassion for every conscious entity, If nothing else I hope people may find a glimmer of beauty and truth in my works.
